You think God has someone he wants 'us...Godside,

1. You think God has someone he wants 'us' to vote for? Is God hoping 'we' elect 'his' person? What happens if 'we' don't? How is it that fully devoted followers of Christ everywhere will vote for different people? Is someone not hearing from God? We must keep in mind we're not electing a pastor!

2. "you think God would want us to vote for someone who is a part of a cult?" What are Mormons known for? Strong sense of morality (and one very similar to Christians), strong value on family--and big ones at that, good will and a strong work ethic among other things. Oh but wait, they have a different view on Jesus and the after-life than we do. We're not sure if we can handle that? Wow, we've handled a whole lot more than 'that' in the past!

Are we trying to build God's kingdom and establish his authority on earth via the United States Government? It's not happening! I'm not saying don't vote but don't overestimate what your vote can accomplish--what the government can accomplish, and don't underestimate what the church can accomplish.

Could it be possible that the next best person to lead our country is not a Christian? Maybe that's not as big of a deal as we're making it out to be...but maybe it is, this wouldn't be the first time I was wrong. :)Josh Mannhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16617404191832517719noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26745252.post-13440934804211305242007-05-18T19:25:00.000-07:002007-05-18T19:25:00.000-07:00Dude seriously...I feel the same way about Romney....Dude seriously...I feel the same way about Romney. I really am liking what I hear out of him. The whole Mormon thing is tough though, you think God would want us to vote for someone who is a part of a cult? But what I struggle with is...what if he is the best we got? None of the candidates this year are a straight ticket, for the first time in a long time republicans are going to have to decide what issues matter most to them...and vote accordingly.GodSidehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04597228159934878539noreply@blogger.com
