Weekend Wrap Up

Attendance: Above Average
Lesson Topic: Week Two of 'What's Next?' (Heaven)
'Fun Factor': Average
Volunteer Involvement: Average
Music: Below Average
Lesson Quality: Above Average (mainly because of the subject matter)
Length of Lesson: 24.5 minutes
Student Response: Above Average (again, becasue of the subject matter)

This was the first weekend in a while that we seemed to struggle through. The attendance and energy was high, but we couldn't really swing the momentum in our favor...it felt a little bit like the lunatics were running the assylum! The lesson was okay, but not as well put together as last week's (in fact, we had to tweak it quite a bit after Saturday night which is always tough because we have pre-printed outlines that we can't change so our options are limited)
Our music was off...we use student-led bands and sometimes they pick songs that just don't fit the abilities of that particular band, which felt like the case this week. GREAT kids on stage, they just struggled through the music.
On the plus side, I had lots of discussions with students who had all sorts of questions based on their two weeks of learning about stuff we don't talk about a ton.
