A Short, Thought-Provoking Must-Read

On the flight home from Sacramento yesterday I devoured Mark Ostreicher's new book, "Youth Ministry 3.0". If you work with students, you simply must read this book.

I say this not because I agree with everything Mark writes (in fact there is much in the book I don't agree with) but because it is a book that forces you to think about how you are doing ministry and to wonder if there might be a better approach to traditional youth ministry than doing it traditionally (my paraphrase, not his words).

Youth Ministry 3.0 encouraged me, frustrated me, challenged me and prodded me, and I hope it will do the same to you!

this book isn't out for awhile yet, is it?

joeldaniel,
It was for sale at NYWC so I'm sure
it will be available at Amazon and the youth specialties website soon, but for now I think you can get it through the Zondervan page I linked to.

ha! thanks, kurt. i love what you wrote. hope you'll tell me more (in an email, or online) about what you didn't agree with, or what frustrated you -- i would LOVE to hear that.

as for the release: it's officially out now, but direct only. it will be in bookstores in the new year (feb, i think). it's available on the YS site.

I've been looking forward to reading this one for a while now; I'm planning on grabbing a copy at the Pittsburgh NYWC. : )
