Lesson Quality: Above Average
Length of Lesson: 17 minutes
Student Response: Above Average

Our student band kicked off the program with a super fun cover of the 80's hit 'Take On Me' by Ah Ha. That set the stage for a really great weekend. Our games were old school, and we had no video elements, but for some reason it was just a fun time! I got myself into a little bit of trouble with my lesson because my take on JOY was basically defining it as an inner sense of peace. This will be a little bit of a challenge for next week when I try to teach on PEACE without being redundant.

Matthew...weekend wrap up exists for a couple reasons:

- It's Monday, dude! I really don't want to post anything that takes any effort after a long weekend.

- Lots of people who read this blog are junior high ministers and it's always fun to see how programs went for other people in the trenches...especially when they admit things didn't go perfectly.

Matthew...weekend wrap up exists for two reasons:

1) It's Monday, dude! I don't want to post anything that requires much thought after a long weekend.

2) Lots of the people who read this blog are junior high workers. It's always fun to get a peek into how programs have gone for others who are in the trenches, especially when they are willing to admit things didn't go so well.

I had a mom come in to tell me her son thought this was the best Wildside service he'd ever been to.

I thought, with no videos, and totally old games, how could this be?

But it's all new to them...
