We had a really good lesson this weekend. Allison taught, and it's always great to have a female voice in front of our students. I don't think we did anything amazing this weekend but it flowed well, was really fun and students responded well. The interaction with students and the simple games we played made it feel more like a youth group than a youth ministry, and that was nice.

interesting..What verses did you use for "how to do surgery on yourself"
We used a couple....
First, 'If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off...If your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out...'
Also, 'Search me oh God....see if there be any wicked way in me...'
Our points on how to do surgery on yourself:
Take a Look YOURSELF (What do YOU see in you that needs to be removed...)
Take a Look WITH OTHERS (Do you give permission for your friends to hold you accountable etc. They sometimes see stuff you don't....)
Take a Look WITH GOD (Ask him to point out stuff that is dis-pleasing to him...)
