Wicked Awesome

Tonight my extended family is heading to Hollywood to see Wicked. It will be the first time for most of us, but the second time for Rachel and Kayla. We decided to keep the kids out of school tomorrow, stay the night in Hollywood and have some family fun tomorrow. I'm not a huge musical fan, which combined with the fact that I don't like the Wizard of Oz makes me nervous, but everybody who has seen Wicked seems to speak really highly of it so I'm actually looking forward to seeing it for myself. At the very least it will give me some context for the songs on the soundtrack that seem to be playing in my wife's car constantly. Should be an awesome time.

Dude hope you like it. One of my favorite lines, "So if you can't find me, look to the western skies."
It's a sweet look at perspective.

Check out the book it's based on. Even wackier than the musical!

I read the book after seeing the musical, which was great, but the book isn't great. In fact, it's pretty much borderline perverted. Not nearly as clever as the musical's story. My wife stopped reading it halfway through cause it's so offensive. Me, I'm too stubborn to have a book get the best of me, I also won't leave bad movies early.

We are planning to kick off jh ministry this semester. I´m planning a comic play for an outreach event at my church with that purpose. But once we finish that, what would you say is the #1 draw for junior highers to come to a jh service. What do you advertise as your draw? What is the #1 thing jh kids would like to do at church? Thanks for the help.

Games? My guess is that they are still very physical.
